With the help of FracTracker, we have compiled locations, descriptions and contact information for site-fights across Pennsylvania (and very close to PA) as well as for environmental groups across the state. The red markers are site-fights. The blue squares are environmental groups. The white markers that have a columned building are office locations for legislative gatekeepers that have control over potential legislation that would affect the environmental movement in Pennsylvania. Click on any of the red markers for a window with a description of the site-fight along with related information. Click on the blue markers for the group's mission, contact information, geographic focus, training focus and more. The panel on the right side has descriptions and contact information for environmental groups that do not have a geographical location, like PAC.
Many groups are not aware of how many other groups are out there, but groups can help each other by sharing advice and expertise, sharing resources and ideas, and by showing up for each other's events. When they need to pressure legislative gatekeepers, they need to know which other groups are close by and could easily take part. The map can help groups build power through collaboration.
While the map will be periodically updated by us, you can help us by submitting a site-fight on the form that you can access on the left-middle panel. We appreciate your help in fostering greater solidarity among environmentalists and environmental groups, and welcome working with other groups who act to end the corruption that allows environmental injustice to flourish in our state. We are thankful to FracTracker for the time and energy that makes this clickable map possible.
